Fish nearly extinct in China's largest desert freshwater lake

Fish in Hongjiannao Lake, China's largest desert freshwater lake, are on the border line of extinction due to changes in their habitat. Fishery authorities have seen how the lake has shrunk and has increased in salinity.  This in turn affects fish species as they have already noticed. The lake's water level has decreased by 20 to 30 centimeters every year. This indicates the delicate this case is and the importance of finding a solution to this problem.
